Portland, OR – 7/16/2007

Santa Barbara Breakers Guard Toby Bailey showcased his talent this past week at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bailey, who averaged 24.8 points in 18 games with the Breakers in the 2007 IBL season, was selected to represent the Golden State Warriors in the annual summer league competition. Bailey racked up significant minutes for the Warriors (25 mpg) in all 5 games of their summer schedule.

The 6’6″ UCLA graduate, and former NBA player, averaged 13.6 points per game and an even more impressive 47.9 field goal percentage. His stats behind the 3-point arc increased to 65% accuracy in 20 attempts. Bailey’s impressive performance may warrant an invitation from the Warriors to return in October to attend their training camp in Hawaii.

The Golden State Warriors finished the 2007 NBA Summer League with 3 wins and 2 losses. The Santa Barbara Breakers finished the 2007 IBL season 17-6 with a heartbreaking loss to the Portland Chinooks in the IBL West Region Championship game on July 1st.
